The first hour has aired and we are currently in production on our second hour. We are continuing to interview veterans and one thing has held true, never think you have heard it all. Every one of our vets has an amazing story to tell and this is a large part of what is so exciting about this project. It is a true honor to be involved with this piece of oral history.

Always have great fun and learn a lot. The main thing is that we always come away with an amazing amount of respect for those men and women who serve our country. This job was a series of Drill Sergeant training videos that will be distributed to US Army training facilities across the US.

We shot Coach Tanner's portion here in Columbia and then traveled to Clemson the next day to pick up Coach Leggett's segment. Surprisingly, it wasn't that tough finding an area of the CLemson campus that would match our location here in Columbia. Major thanks to Vicky Henders, Lee Smith and Louis DeFelice who were our amazing actors in the spot. Coach Leggett and Coach Tanner did an amazing job as well. Here are a few pics from the shoot. You can check out the spot here:

The organization has a yearly event that involves thousands and thousands of Christmas lights. The problem is that their existing artwork for the event is a little dull.

So my job was to liven the 2D up and then create something that can be used on the web for promotion as well.

The basic idea was for me to simulate Christmas lights on the outside edges without doing any 3d modeling. I'm pretty pleased with the first results.

I could be 100% off base, but I don't think I've seen this anywhere before.

The basic tools used are After Effects and Trapcode particular, with the logo created in Illustrator and Photoshop. I've adapted the look to my logo here. Still a work in progress but pretty cool I think.
